Business up top:
It's next week on July 6th at 8pm.
It'll be at Third Life Studio, which is at 33 Union Square, Somerville.
Tickets are $10, or $6 if you need.
THERE WILL BE DANCE.
Amy and I have been working on a few pieces, all very artistic and serious.
Rose Abramoff is also bringing a piece that she made, set to some super rap tunes.
Dorothy King will be contorting herself, and Britney Spears might be involved.
THERE WILL BE MUSIC.
The Colors Run, who played at the last heynow that I threw in my backyard, will be playing.
Emily Laverdiere will be playing hilarious comedy songs. I haven't heard them, to be honest, but Amy has and she likes them and I trust her.
THERE WILL BE COMEDY.
Andrew Mayer will tell great jokes.
AND ALSO SOME FILM.
Nicole Beauchaine made a little stop motion film about French fishes in love. It's adorable and makes me want to find a fish to love, and also become a fish.
I THINK MY SISTER WILL BE THERE.
She's a blast.
ALSO FOOD, DUH.
Kind of Amy's and my whole goal in making shows is to make shows that are fun to be at, rather than making people feel like they aren't smart enough to know what's going on. I have always enjoyed the vibe of music shows a little more than dance shows, because people go with the expectation of enjoying themselves rather than looking cultured. One main fixture of making that happen is making sure there are always snacks, maybe some cupcakes, definitely cheese. Feel free to bring things to add to the buffet, and we'll probably discount your ticket.
Reach out with any questions! It should be fine. There are tons of amazing people performing. And I think some really fantastic audience members. Hopefully everybody will be able to stick around after the show and get to know one another!
